New Article: Retheorizing Fascist Ideology in the Modern Age. The Far Right Rise in America, a Neofacist Breeding Ground.
Who am I?
My name is Alyssa Hockett, I am a lifelong writer and poet, author of the book “Where the Spirit Meets the Bone.” I studied international politics at Aberystwyth University, Wales, where I focused primarily on refugee studies and far-right American politics.
Currently, I’m at the Global Campus of Human Rights studying my masters in human rights and democratization and will soon undergo supervised research at Masaryk University on state terrorism and the effect of US/Israeli counter-terrorism operations on human rights.
Passionate for human rights everywhere in the world, I made this website to blog my thoughts on current crises, to raise awareness on current human rights violations and ongoing atrocities.
My column, “Political Poetry,” features not only my own work, but the art of various poets, journalists, and survivors to a voice to the most vulnerable and deserving people.
